Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig on September 21, 1983. Maggie Grace is an American Actress best known as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV series Lost. Her birthplace was Worthington in Ohio. She dropped out of school after her parents divorced to go to Los Angeles to live with her mother. The actress landed her first part as Rachel's Room's lead character in 2001, despite having a difficult time financially. The actress was able to secure a Young Artist Award nomination in 2002, for her role as the 15 year old murder victim Martha Moxley in the television film Murder which aired in Greenwich. Grace Rutherford played Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons of 2004 and was awarded the Screen Actors Guild Award (with other cast members) alongside her. Grace decided to concentrate on film after playing opposite Tom Welling's character in The Fog, in 2005. The following year, she appeared on screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club and also, as the Liam Neeson character Kim Mills as Kim Mills for Taken. In 2008, she reprised the role Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). She also played Alice on Malice in Wonderland which is the modern-day version from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace returned to Shannon's character as Shannon in Lost for two additional episodes. This included the final episode of the series. In 2013, she appears in Californianation, the sixth season. She portrays Faith a groupie and an muse for the stars who captures the attention of Hank Moody played by David Duchovny. She is a member of the Gyllenhaal family, she's the daughter and older sister of actor Jake Gyllenhaal. Her career began as a teenager with small parts in a few of his films. She also appeared with her brother in the famous cult classic Donnie Darko (2001). Her next appearance was in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). The leading roles of Gyllenhaal in Secretary, an erotico-romantic comedy, as well as Sherrybaby (a drama) earned her nominations for Golden Globe Awards. In 2006, she starred in numerous commercially successful movies including World Trade Center.
