Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig on September 21, 1983. Maggie Grace is an American Actress best known as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV series Lost. Her birthplace was Worthington in Ohio. She dropped out of school after her parents divorced to go to Los Angeles to live with her mother. The actress landed her first part as Rachel's Room's lead character in 2001, despite having a difficult time financially. The actress was able to secure a Young Artist Award nomination in 2002, for her role as the 15 year old murder victim Martha Moxley in the television film Murder which aired in Greenwich. Grace Rutherford played Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons of 2004 and was awarded the Screen Actors Guild Award (with other cast members) alongside her. Grace decided to concentrate on film after playing opposite Tom Welling's character in The Fog, in 2005.
